Scientific evidence “points unwaveringly” to the two main suspects as the killers of the Kremlin critic Alexander Litvinenko, in an operation almost certainly sponsored by the Russian state, a public inquiry heard on Thursday.Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun had “no credible answers” for a trail of radioactivity they left across several countries, Richard Horwell QC, lawyer for the Metropolitan Police, said in a blistering closing submission.
