Wednesday 21.30 BST US equities slid in the minutes after the Federal Reserve said the economic recovery had lost momentum but stopped short of offering new monetary stimulus. The FTSE All-World index slipped to a loss and was 0.2 per cent lower after spending the day in positive territory despite concerns about the health of the global economy in the face of the eurozone debt crisis.
